WHAT IS DBT?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a 6-12 month evidence-based treatment program developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan at the University of Washington that has been found to help individuals who struggle with regulating their emotions. It combines cognitive behavioral techniques such as examining and challenging problematic thoughts and behaviors, with acceptance and mindfulness-based approaches that place emphasis on noticing and experiencing the present moment.

Comprehensive DBT includes weekly individual and group sessions, skills coaching between sessions, and a consultation team for therapists. At Greenlake Therapy Group we offer a comprehensive DBT program.  All of our therapists have been intensively trained in DBT, and have previously worked directly with Dr. Marsha Linehan on her research studies evaluating DBT at the University of Washington.

To begin DBT, please email one of our therapists individually or send us a message through the "Contact Us" page.
