Lynn elwood, LMHC
Lynn Elwood, LMHC combines skills learned from eastern traditions of mindfulness training and western cognitive behavioral theory and practice. She received her Masters in Mental Health counseling from Antioch University in 2005, licensed with the state of Washington in 2008, and has worked professionally as a clinician in the field since 1998. She has specialized training and experience working with adults with multiple diagnosis and behavioral problems including but not limited to depression, suicidal and self harm behaviors, dissociation, panic attacks, post traumatic stress and anger dyscontrol. She has had extensive training and supervised clinical work in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy since 1998 including experience as a research clinician at the University of Washington under Dr. Marsha Linehan, the treatment developer. In addition to her private practice, she works in a specialized clinic with adults with borderline personality disorder and as a supervisor and consultant to people and agencies implementing DBT.
